Juls is a photographer, actress, and multidisciplinary artist with a vivid spark. She is known for her sensitivity, spontaneous creativity, and never-ending curiosity about learning and exploring new terrain.
Born in the mountains of La Rioja, Juls has followed her artistic path across cities like Madrid, Berlin, Barcelona, and now Ghent, which she currently calls home—though her projects often take her dancing, performing, and shooting across Europe.
Her journey in front of the camera began as a model and actress, trained at the Nancy Tuñón i Jordi Oliver School in Barcelona, and later refined through hours of work and training with professionals like Lucy Lenox and the InExtremis Stunt Academy. She has performed in films, theatre, music videos, and experimental video art—always drawn to roles that invite emotional depth and physical presence.
Behind the camera, Juls has cultivated a multidisciplinary practice rooted in visual storytelling. In recent years, her main focus has shifted toward photography—especially capturing dance, and intimate spaces connected to birth, motherhood, and love. Her approach is spontaneous and documentary-like, always seeking to reveal the emotional truth of a moment as it unfolds.
Her creative work also includes explorations around visual and craft, where she uses body, hair, blood, light and movement to question through the lens of empathy and expression.
With a background in graphic and motion design from IED Barcelona, She has also co-created light installations and video mappings, projects which have earned her recognition and awards, including the LAUS prize. Juls brings a strong visual sensitivity to all her work. She’s also an active part of the European swing dance community, embracing her role as a guest and lifelong student of African-American cultural traditions.
Juls creates from a place of deep feeling, connection, and play—and everything she touches carries that same spark.
